Kristi Vogel

Kristi comes to the Midtown Arts Academy with a vast array of knowledge in performing arts. She has been dancing and performing for over 30 years, teaching and choreographing for more than half of those years. Although the stage is where she feels at home, she has found teaching to be her true passion. She attended the University of Northern Colorado and received her degree in Social Science with an Emphasis in Elementary Education. Teaching in a traditional classroom setting has sharpened her skills as a dance teacher. She finds so much joy in watching students learn and grow as performers while in class. When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 5 children.

Emily Erkman

Emily has been performing professionally for over 15 years. She got her start doing regional musical theatre in New York before relocating to Colorado. After spending a number of years working in theaters, Emily began singing for corporate bands who perform across the country. You might say she has a passion for growth and versatility in performance.

Emily has run her own vocal studio for more than 8 years. She has taught group and private classes throughout Colorado. She has training in classical and musical theatre styles, and greatly enjoys singing and teaching popular music. Believing that learning should never stop, she currently studies with New York Vocal Coach Justin Stoney. Miss Emily not only aids students in understanding their voices, she also helps them build the confidence they need to succeed.

Dylan Shelofsky

As the program director of elementary school musical theater at the Pineda Conservatory of the Performing Arts, Dylan Shelofsky worked with hundreds of kids in a variety of shows including Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS, Seussical the Musical, Dear Edwina, Into the Woods JR., Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS and Disney’s Alice in Wonderland.
