***AUDITION NOTICE***

For our spring musical, the Academy will hold auditions prior to registration. Auditions will take place at Midtown Arts Center on December 19, 4:00pm-7:00pm. To sign up for an audition slot, please email Director Michael Lasris at Michael@DivaBeeProductions.com. By auditioning for the show, students agree to accept all casting decisions and will register for the class after the cast list has been posted. For the audition, please prepare 32-bar cut from a modern musical theatre piece and an age-appropriate 20-to-30 second monologue. Please bring sheet music–an accompanist will be provided. No prerecorded music or a cappella performances.

Class begins Tuesday, January 15 and meets Tuesdays AND Thursdays 5:30pm-7:30pm. Performances April 27-29 (Saturday afternoon, Sunday evening, Monday evening). Classes will not be held during PSD Spring Break, March 19-21, 2019.
Limited to 30 students, this class is open to all current 6th-12th grade students. 

Disney Channel’s smash hit movie musical comes to life on stage! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities. With such memorable songs like “Stick to the Status Quo,” “Start of Something New,” and “Breaking Free,” this show is catchy, quirky, and tons of fun!

This full production of High School Musical will be directed and choreographed by Michael Lasris with music direction by Emily Erkman.
