Rock of Ages

September 10, 2015 - January 2, 2016

Aqua Net, Lycra, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strips’ last legendary rock venues of 1987. In this raucous locale, a small town girl and big city rocker fall in love to the rock legends of the 80s. ROCK OF AGES takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This five-time Tony Award nominated jukebox musical celebrates 1980s favorites such as Styx, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister, Journey and many more.

Can I Bring My Kids? You might be wondering — or, admit it, hoping — your kids will love it as much as you will. Well, we think they will, but you should know that some of the costumes, dancing and language might not be appropriate for kids under the age of 14 (and children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theater). We think teenagers will dig it, because it’s totally awesome, sort of like a music video brought to life. You know the maturity of your children, so we suggest you use your best judgment about whether or not the show is appropriate for them. Remember, if you do bring them, they’ll get to see you rockin’ like you did back in the day. Just so you know.

What People Are Saying...

“The show, which lasted way longer on Broadway than anyone really expected, has found new life regionally, alongside a production in Vegas. Midtown’s production, directed by Kurt Terrio, ranks with the best of them, electrifying ’80s earworms with a killer cast, stellar band (led by Jason Tyler Vaughn) and, honestly, nothing but a good time. (But that’s a bit of an understatement–I had a blast.)” – Chris Arneson, Broadway World

“Just saw Rock of Ages! Amazing show with so much talent! Lonny had me rolling! Stacee Jaxx was perfect! Drew had one of the most incredible voices I have ever heard. Sherrie was beautiful. And shout out to Courtney for great, friendly service!” – Amy Dietrich, Facebook

“Rock of Ages tonight was fantastic and so much fun! Each show just gets better and better. Kudos to the cast and everyone who put it together!” – ‎Sally Davis Wolf, Facebook
