Amanda Blair is thrilled to be making her Midtown Arts Center debut! A Colorado native, Amanda has been living in NYC for the last two and a half years. Brian Gay is ecstatic to be making his MAC debut. Originally from North Carolina, he graduated from Western Carolina University with a BFA in Musical Theatre, training under three-time Tony Award Nominee, Terrence Mann. Educational credits include Pirelli (Sweeney Todd), Grantaire (Les Miserables), and Dr. Madden (Next to Normal). Professional credits include Maples Repertory Theatre (Big River, The Curious Savage, and A Funny Thing…Forum), Paul Green’s The Lost Colony, and multiple seasons at Lees-McRae Summer Theatre (Ragtime, The Sound of Music, and The Secret Garden). Brian made his NYC debut this past spring at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in Jules Verne: From the Earth to the Moon, “a dazzling musical and multimedia paean to human aspiration, sending you into the stratosphere” (NY Times). In his spare time Brian enjoys playing piano, eating great food, and spending time on the family Christmas Tree farm. Endless thanks to my parents for their undying love and support.
Marissa Rudd is incredibly excited to be making her MAC debut in Merry and Bright! She is a Senior Vocal Performance major at Colorado State University. Recent credits include: Die Mutter in Humperdink’s Hänsel und Gretel, Elettra in Mozart’s Idomeneo, and Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi.
Christian Mark Gibbs TENOR, has performed in multiple world premieres in New York City, Switzerland, and Singapore, from operas and solo performance to chamber and solo vocal quartet.
Mr. Gibbs is a graduate of Queens College’s Aaron Copland School of Music. His upcoming 2015-2016 season include Lend Me A Tenor with Inspire Creative at the Pace Center, the new Merry and Bright production with Midtown Arts Center, Pirates of Penzance as Frederic with Loveland Opera Theatre, a Featured Artist at Carnegie Hall with Choirs of America, and an understudy of Othello with Opera Fort Collins.
