RALPHIE: A regular kid – cute but not overly handsome, not precious. He wouldn’t be lost in a crowd, but he wouldn’t stand out either. Bright, but not precocious; the boy next door. Should look 9 years old—must be under 5’ tall. Range: Alto, must have unchanged voice—low F# to high D

RANDY: Ralphie’s younger brother. Can be a bit awkward, but always has a deep admiration of Ralphie. Should be a kind and honest presense on stage. Must be a strong tap dancer. Should look 8-9 years old—must be under 5’ tall.. Range: Alto, must have unchanged voice—low F# to high C#

KIDS ENSEMBLE (including Flick, Farkus, Dill, etc.): Various children in Ralphie’s class and at Ralphie’s school. Eight actors will play all roles. Boys and girls needed. All actors should be strong singers and tap dancers. All actors must be under 5’ tall and should appear to be between 7-14 years old.

ADULT ENSEMBLE: Heavy dancing and singing requirements. Performers double as townspeople, teachers, and other adult roles in the show. Must be strong triple-threat character actors with intermediate musical theatre dance skills. Males and females needed. Preference for at least one male Asian actor. Ensemble members will also take on featured roles as well.

Performers must audition in order to be considered.

All performers must have reliable transportation. Rehearsals will happen morning, afternoon, and evening during the rehearsal timeframe—not all performers will be needed for all rehearsals, but more availability is preferred.

Compensation is based on experience and role requirements, and is negotiable.
Compensation base rate: $1,500/run and includes waitshifts in the Dinner Theatre for adults; $750/run for actors under 18 years old.
